  • Generation Z: most conservative generation since 1945

Sociology experts class those born in or before 1945 as the Silent Generation; people born between 1946 and 1964 as Baby Boomers; those born between 1965 and 1980 as Generation X; and anyone born between 1980 and 2000 as Millennials.

Only 14 and 15-year-olds were surveyed, by brand consultancy The Gild, as they were classed as being able to form credible opinions by that age.

When asked to comment on same-sex marriage, transgender rights and cannabis legislation, 59 per cent of Generation X teenagers said they had conservative views.

    Compare to

Around 85 per cent of Millennials and those in Generation X had a 'quite' or 'very liberal' stance overall.

When asked for their specific view on each topic only the Silent Generation was more conservative that Generation Z.

One line summary of article for libtards:

The youngsters surveyed had more conservative views on gay marriage, transgender rights and drugs than their older siblings, parents and potentially even grandparents
This, of course, despite lib indoctrination in media, also schools!!!

Fake news. Just bad polling I suspect. Numerous other polls have found that younger=more liberal, with the millennials being more liberal than generation X, younger millennials being more liberal than older ones, and generation Z being more liberal than the younger millennials. This could just be a polling company who's bad at their job, or their could have a bad sample, or it's possible that the group being surveyed hasn't started thinking for themselves yet and are just regurgitating their parent's views. Often a lot of things change once teenagers move out of home around 18-20 - for example there tends to be a massive drop in self-reported religiosity.

Looks like typical BS from Starlight, but I'll ask for evidence: what polls show gen Z more liberal than current crop of progtards?

This could just be a polling company who's bad at their job, or their could have a bad sample, or it's possible that the group being surveyed hasn't started thinking for themselves yet and are just regurgitating their parent's views.
Since parents of Gen Z are lib, group surveyed not only not regurgitating but also rejecting parents' views, progtard!!!

While Starlight frantic googling to support BS of his, let's look at another poll: highschoolers favored Trump over Cankles

Poll: Trump Dominates with Generation Z
First-time voters and high schoolers too young to cast ballots overwhelmingly go GOP

Republican Donald Trump has performed poorly in polling among young voters, but a comprehensive survey released Thursday suggests he is dominating Democrat Hillary Clinton among high school students. The survey of high school students across the country, a joint project of My College Options and the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, indicates that members of the so-called Generation Z have markedly different political views than the slightly older, famously left-leaning millennials.

“Our findings shocked us and clearly state that the Trump effect was not only felt by adults and can have an impact going forward with Generation Z.”

Among those old enough to vote for the first time in next month’s election, Trump leads Clinton 46 percent to 31 percent. Another 11 percent picked a third-party candidate, while 6 percent said they would write in a candidate. Some 54,000 students in 47 states have filled out paper ballots distributed in schools, and organizers said they expect a total of 100,000 by the time they finish polling.

“Our findings shocked us and clearly state that the Trump effect was not only felt by adults and can have an impact going forward with Generation Z,” Hispanic Heritage Foundation President Jose Antonio Tijerino said in a prepared statement. “It’s also an important message that youth can’t be taken for granted as to how they lean politically by either side of the aisle.”

          ...
Trump also was the top choice of the entire group, ages 14 through 18. He won support from 34 percent, compared with 20 percent of Clinton. Third-party and write-in candidates got 13 percent, while nearly a third said they would not vote if they had the chance. While Trump struggles mightily with female voters in the electorate, among high school respondents, Trump leads with both genders.

Again, point is that with Generation Z, trend of younger = more lib fails, and even reverses!!!

You libs should just prepare for possibility of even bigger Trumpslide in 2020!

An expert on Generation Z who runs a website on the subject, mocks your cited poll here.

                More bright sparks of hope:

Today’s teenagers might be our most abstemious yet. Smoking and alcohol use is at its lowest levels among young people in England since 1982, when records began, according to a 2014 NHS survey. Less than one in five 11- to 15-year-olds said they had smoked, while 38% of adolescents in the same age group had tried alcohol at least once – also the lowest proportion since records began. Drug use among under-16s was also down: 15% of 11- to 15-year-olds reported having taken drugs of any kind, a dramatic decrease from 29% in 2001.

Perhaps it's because they can look at recent history and see the failure that is liberalism. Or maybe it's just rebellion in the same way that kids in the 60s rebelled against their conservative parents by becoming hippies.

A logical inconsistency here. According to this the parents would be espousing more liberal views. If the kids were "regurgitating" they would be more liberal not less.

This might be a small sampling of long term trends in childbirth.
Since liberals are more likely to be gay, abort, or not have children the demographics would have to skew over time.

It's a cycle. The baby boomers were more liberal than their parents. Generation X was more conservative than the baby boomers. The millennials are more liberal than gen X.

I'm always still in trouble again
