Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing Jehovah-Jireh...
The captivating power of God’s Love…
    Shalom!

“But thank God! He has made us His captives and continues to lead us along in Christ's triumphal procession. Now He uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume.” (2 Corinthians 2:14 NLT)

Anyone who has been an eye-witness to or a recipient God’s Love knows firsthand His Love is so captivating it allures us to follow Jesus on a journey toward victory. Not only is God’s Love captivating it also turns what starts out as bitterness into sweetness. For that past week or so my wife Patti and I have been concerned over an upcoming cardiac catherization for an arterial blockage on the front of her heart. It was discovered in a routine examination for knee replacement surgery. What caused us to be concerned was if the doctor needed to put a stent in the artery her knee surgery would need to be postponed for nearly a year. And her knee could not wait that long.

So, like always do when a crisis crops up we turned it over to God and asked the members of our church to pray for her. She had the procedure this morning and NO stent! While the artery continues to be blocked the doctor told her it would only block again so they sent her home with some new medication and she has been cleared for knee surgery. Of course, she still has one artery blocked but we have every reason to believe not only will the doctor keep his eye on it God will keep His eye on it too.

The Psalmist gives those who have been or will be captivated by God’s Love this promise. “The LORD says, "I will rescue those who love Me. I will protect those who trust in My name. When they call on Me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them My salvation.” (Psalms 91:14-16 NLT)
Have you been captivated by God’s Love? Has God removed the bitterness from Your difficulties/storms?

“May God be merciful and bless us. May his face smile with favor on us.” **
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary

Amen Gary!!! God has removed the bitterness from my storms, yes!
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)
