"Gun free zones" should be illegal.

Also worth noting that Maryland has strict gun laws, including background checks and requiring registration to even purchase.

A good guy with a gun stopped a bad gun with a gun!

A student pulled out a gun and shot two other students at a high school in southeast Maryland Tuesday morning before the shooter was wounded, the St. Mary’s County sheriff says.

The gunman entered Great Mills High School in Great Mills, Maryland, at the beginning of the school day and shot a female student in a hallway, Sheriff Tim Cameron said live on News4. A male student also was hit by a bullet.

Information was not available immediately on the relationship between the students, Cameron said.

The shooter exchanged fire with a school resource officer, a trained, armed deputy sheriff, Cameron said. The shooter was wounded; the officer was not.

All three students are in critical condition.

The school was locked down and the incident was contained, according to the school's website.

Apparently there was a rumor about a possible school shooting there a few weeks ago:

Cops investigate shooting threats at Great Mills
GREAT MILLS, MD - Rumors of violence at Great Mills High School have triggered the concerns of parents and students of the Great Mills community.

On the evening of Feb. 20, TheBayNet.com received messages from several concerned parents of Great Mills High School students regarding the threat of a school shooting circulating on Snapchat. The Snapchat post warns students of a possible shooting planned to take place in the upcoming days.

The most important difference between a good guy with a gun and a bad guy with a gun is that the bad guy shoots first.

Ah, the story originally said no fatalities. I don't celebrate anybody's death, but I suppose it's better him than an innocent victim.

Yes, he died at the hospital. But it could have been much worse...

Yep. As soon as it was revealed that there was a hero with a gun, the mainstream media suddenly went dark on this story.

Indeed. In the past I've cited multiple cases where the MSM seems to completely miss the fact that a shooter was stopped by armed citizens. Here is but one of many examples.

Back in January 16, 2002, Peter Odighizuwa a 43-year-old naturalized citizen from Nigeria, who had flunked out of the Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, Virginia returned and went on a shooting spree killing 3 including the Dean of the school. He was stopped when two of the students, Tracy Bridges and Mikael Gross, ran out to their cars, got pistols out of them, and returned to the school. There the two armed students confronted the gunman, whom upon seeing the other students with guns, stopped shooting, threw his own gun down and surrendered. He then punched a student and was physically subdued.

Out of 280 separate news stories in the week after the event, only 4 mentioned that the students who stopped the attack had guns, and only 2 (local) newspapers mentioned that the students actually pointed their guns at the attacker. Most in the media who discussed how the attack was stopped said, things like "students overpowered a gunmen," or like the New York Times, only that the attacker was "tackled by fellow students."

This sort of coverage is typical. In the other public school shootings where citizens with guns have stopped attacks, rarely do more than 1% of the news stories mention that citizens with guns stopped the attacks. This censorship is actually dangerous in that it misleads the public in how to handle a similar situation if they are ever confronted by it.

I'm always still in trouble again

Sources missing, and the mainstream media conveniently misrepresented. There's not even a tiny chance you didn't plagiarize this, so I won't bother googling it. Sometimes it pays to do your own research, rouge, and it always pays to apply a little critical thinking to accounts about the mainstream media found in fringe media.

3 Slain at Law School; Student Is Held
Mr. Odighizuwa was subdued by three law students who were experienced police officers, the authorities said.

''We're trained to run into the situation instead away from it,'' said one of the three, Mikael Gross, 34, of Charlotte, N.C., who ran to his car for his bulletproof vest and service pistol before tackling the suspect.

Mr. Gross said that when he returned to the building he saw the gunman strike Ted Besen, another former officer, in the head. Mr. Gross said that he and another former officer, Tracy Bridges, then tackled the man.

The "students" who subdued Odighizuwa were also trained LEOs, which you would know if you had read the Times article yourself, a serious omission. Mr. Gross' account includes the detail that he was both armed and wearing a vest, another serious omission.

And lastly, if, as your unnamed source claims, a bare handful of media accounts included the detail that Odighizuwa threw down his weapon when confronted at gunpoint, contrary to Mr. Gross account, odds are it's because the handful of accounts added the detail to sensationalize the story and dupe their chosen demographic.
