  • Democratic candidates, rev 2

I started a thread on this last year, but enough has happened by now that I want to ask again. I don't want to argue, I'm just curious.

Who is your preferred Democratic candidate, given the state of the field today? Feel free to explain why. In your opinion, is there a difference between your preferred candidate and the candidate most likely to win (either the nomination or the election)?
I DENOUNCE DONALD J. TRUMP AND ALL HIS IMMORAL ACTS.

Who I would prefer if one of the Dems were to become president? Tulsi Gabbard.
Who I would prefer to go head-to-head with Trump? Joe Biden.

Of the remaining ones, I would pick Amy Klobuchar.

Seems seems the most level-headed and moderate of the bunch. Biden has dementia, Bernie is a commie, I don't trust Pete as far as I can throw him, Warren is a wimp who just says whatever she thinks people want to hear, and she is a liar. Bloomberg is as bad as the dems claimed Trump was. Steyer is another one like Bloomberg and I don't trust him. I don't know enough about Tulsi Gabbard, but she is hot!

Klobuchar is angling to be the "moderate" candidate, but she's espoused some very left things like the "Green New Deal". She's also apparently very hard on staff. If I had to vote for one, I'd vote for Gabbard; she's actually pushed back some against the leftist stuff most of the other candidates are supporting.

                Klobuchar. She's the least odious.

Is she running? I thought she suspended her campaign.

Yes, she's been discussed quite a bit in the last few days in the portions of the web where Christianity and politics intersect because she's the one candidate who said she opposed an abortion litmus test within the party.
"I am not angered that the Moral Majority boys campaign against abortion. I am angry when the same men who say, "Save OUR children" bellow "Build more and bigger bombers." That's right! Blast the children in other nations into eternity, or limbless misery as they lay crippled from "OUR" bombers! This does not jell." - Leonard Ravenhill

She was plenty odious at the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings.

You do realize that we are effectively being asked which turd is the least odoriferous.

This is like asking a man if he prefers to be stabbed or strangled.

                            Bloomberg, for previously stated reasons.

Bernie Sanders. Because of pretty much all his policies. Also his lack of corruption. Also his honesty and integrity. Also his laser focus on the same key issues for decades. And he's the only candidate I'm convinced can beat Trump.
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump
"Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism" - George Orwell
"[Capitalism] as it exists today is, in my opinion, the real source of evils. I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy" - Albert Einstein
