  • Trump has AG Barr fire SDNY posecutor

Trump has his personal attorney fire SDNY prosecutor Jeffrey Berman in what is being called a friday night massacre. Berman replaced Preet Bharara who Trump had fired previously for investigating Trump and his allies and is now trying to get rid of Berman who prosecuted allies of Trump and who apparently has ongoing investigations into Trump and his allies. The corrupt Atty Gen. W. Barr announced last night that Berman was resigning and that he would be replaced with Trump allie Jay Clayton who now heads the Securities and Exchange Commision and has no prosecutorial experience.
Mr. Berman says he heard of his supposed resignation when it was announced on the news and said that he has no intention of resigning and the investigations will continue. According to the law, the prosecutor can't be fired until a replacement is confirmed by the Senate.

There seems to be no end to the corruption of this wannabe dictator and his corrupt personal Atty. General.

The sad fact is that Trump is able to get away with it. I've reached the conclusion that the "rule of law" no longer applies in the United States, and that Trump can break whatever laws he wants and not face any consequences.

It helps to put these things in perspective. As usual, there's a lot more going on under the surface than low-info types are even aware of...

It’s worth keeping in mind that Berman’s office was the lead in several high profile cases assembled by Robert Mueller. Additionally, AG Barr brought in five+ outside U.S. attorney’s to review all of the Mueller cases as an outcome of the FISA court order to conduct a sequestration review of any/all evidence that might have been used as an outcome of the fraudulently obtained Carter Page FISA warrant.

As CTH noted at the time…. “If you consider that several DOJ offices may be involved with the material under review, including the Southern District of New York; The Eastern District of New York; The Eastern District of Virginia; The Washington DC District, and even Main Justice itself; it makes sense that outside DOJ personnel would be needed for this review.”

There’s no evidence the moves are connected to the sequestration review, but with USAO John Durham looking deeply into the background of DOJ and FBI activity surrounding the effort to target candidate Trump, and later President Trump, there could be a possibility that several lanes are merging. Obviously, AG Barr feels very confident to make the moves and subsequent recommendations to President Trump for replacements.

A lot more information and analysis at the link. It's worth your time to read if you really want to know what's going on, and why.

You MM are incapable, not to mention, not interested, in recognizing the spin coming from your Last Refuge.

Read it again? "Might have been involved, could possibly have been involved...... etc." When are you going to open your eyes and ears, or do you prefer to remain deaf and dumb? Why do you think Trump is nominating someone for that position with no prosecutorial experience

This is not technically correct. I've altered your second sentence for fix the problem:

Congressional Republicans have decided that the "rule of law" no longer applies in the United States, and that Trump can break whatever laws he wants and not face any consequences.

If being unqualified and incompetent is a sufficient reason to be refused a position in the US government, then most of Trump's appointees would lose their jobs.

The only necessary qualification to being awarded a presidential appointment to a high government position is unwavering loyalty to Donald Trump.

I am not surprised that there are thousands of Republican politicians and Trump appointees, and tens of millions of American voters, who support and will continue to support Trump no matter what he does. I AM surprised there are people like John Bolton, James Mattis, John Kelly, and Rex Tillerson who finally see the light and (apparently) realize that their unquestioning support of Trump is morally wrong.

If Trump wins a second term in November, and he is able to continue his reign of terror for another four years, then the American people will have no one to blame but themselves.

That ship sailed 100 days into his first term...

Liberals like Jimmy are afraid that voters will make the "wrong" decision, hence the increased whooping and hollering as they serve up another order of nothing burgers.

There are probably those out there already planning a "he CHEATED" campaign in the event Trump actually wins.

Damned right we're concerned, there's obviously a lot of blind MM types out there that have no idea what's actually going on with this Administration.

It's only a nothing burger to you MM because it's Trump and his corrupt Atty Gen. and not Obama who is trying to pull off all this corruption. Try a little objectivity once in a while, use whatever critical thinking abilities you have instead of instead of being led lemming like by your "Last Refuge" i.e. Breitbart.

You mean like Trump was planning in 2016 and is already suggesting would be the case if he loses in November. How is it you conservatives always get everything bass ackwards?
