  • Five Nights at Freddy's 2

Have to admit, when the first one came out, me and my friends had such a thrill playing it (And laughing at each other's jumped reactions). We actually had fun with the thrill of the potentially anticipated jump scares. Can't wait for this one to come out!!

The title of the thread made me chuckle a bit because Freddy's is a local burger chain here.

From what I understand, the new animations are hooked up to some advanced optics or something that connects them to the FBI Criminal Database in order to protect the children. So, essentially, the new animations patrol the place and protect from the old, haunted animations, but evidently, they're not very good at it.

Given the game's viral popularity, has there been anyone mentioning that to them? Heheheheh

Definately an odd addition to the lore, especially since the Freddy lore is quite intriguing!

Yeah, from what I understand, to keep the old aninimatronics from killing you, you put on a Freddy Fazbear mask to trick them, but you can't keep it on all the time, or the new aninimatronics will think you're one of the old ones, and kill you. It's pretty much a replacement for the doors.

I just heard about the first one recently. I'm going to try it out once I have some money and it's on sale. I do like a good jump scare, and an air of eeriness in a game.

It's one of the best recent games at creating a sense of paranoia in you. The jump scares can have their luster wear off after a while (like any jump scares), but the atmosphere never gets less frenetic and unsettling.

Jump-Scares aren't my forte, but from what I've heard and watched of the original it's a solid game nevertheless.

That being said, I've been playing one of Mr. Cawthon's other games, The Desolate Hope. It's one part 2D Platformer, one part Atari Overhead Dungeon-Crawl, and one part RPG (the boss-fights use an Active Time Battle system akin to the SNES/PS1 Final Fantasy Games). Odd Combination for sure, but the game manages to blend the elements together and make a fun story.

I think you should try some of the early Resident Evil games, either Code Veronica X, or perhaps, since they are bringing the REmake from Gamecube to HD, and putting it on PC, that one.

ETA: RE3 had the most jump scares, it's pretty terrifying when you hear Nemesis' theme playing and hear "STARS!" being roared in the background.

I was just at the steam store, and I saw that the third game was up on there. Wow, that was fast.
