Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

    A Glory Seed Devotional
    Thanksliving…

For some this Thanksgiving will be a little difficult because there will be someone missing at their table. Tomorrow when we sit down at our table it will be the first Thanksgiving without my mother-in-law Betty Booth. We will miss her business as she went about getting her small apartment ready for her family to sit down and enjoy turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, macaroni salad, cranberry salad, pies, and other stuff. Our meals were great but this year it will be different.

Thanksgiving is a day of remembrance, a day set aside to look back and re-experience the people and blessings that have played a significant part of our lives, a time to enjoy a wonderful meal with family and friends it is also a time to reminisce about past events. For many their conversations will be bittersweet but as painful as they may be it is because of those events and because of those who have been a part of our lives our memories are filled with life.

For me personally I am thankful beyond words I was born into a family that had strong ties with God and I am also thankful I married into a similar family. There were difficult times over the years but with the unconditional love and compassion of God we emerged out of all the difficulties much stronger not only as individuals but as a family as well. Dorothy and Harley Piper, Betty and Ivon Booth we will miss you this year but our memory of each of you continues to be a guiding force in our lives. We are thankful for each of you.

Changes whether minor or major can be troubling and a confusing. Have there been changes in your life since Thanksgiving 2013? When you sit down at your table tomorrow will more hungry for more than just a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner? If that’s the case then here are some words that may interest you. “When standing in the middle of troubling and confusing circumstances, choose to reflect on the reality of the love of Christ for you. Through the eyes of faith, envision Jesus wrapping His arms around you. He hugs you and softly whispers to you, ‘It’s okay. I’m here. I love you and promise you that everything is going to be alright. Just stay here in My arms. I’ll take care of you.’” (Steve McVey, A Divine Invitation, Kindle Edition)

God, there are so many people in our world today who perhaps through no fault of their own live in a dark and cold world whose memories of the past year are a nightmare. Please God help them to find that place in their heart however deep it may be where you continue to live.

    God, thank you for YOU…
    Jesus, thank you for YOU…
Holy Spirit, thank you for YOU…
    Reader, thank you for YOU...

    Anticipate! Experience! Believe! Be transformed!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary
