Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
You can crawl, walk, run or fly but you can’t hide…

“I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night— but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you.” (Psalm 139:7–12, NLT)

Every time I read today’s scripture I do so with mixed emotions because it tells me that God doesn’t miss a thing. And that means that I can’t get away with anything. However, on the other side of that nothing happens to us that God does experience either. God is never taken by surprise even before storms crop up in our lives God is already making plans to either see they never materialize or blessing us as we move through them.

If God is all-seeing and all-knowing as the scriptures says he is I’ve often wondered how deeply it hurts him to watch me as a wander away from him. I know how deeply it hurt my mom and dad when I wandered away from the way I was brought up. And as a parent myself as our sons were growing up I too experienced the hurt. But when I think of how God has totally blessed me it really hurts me to know how I must have caused him pain.

Even though I wonder how much pain I’ve put God through I DO know and when I think of it and digest it I am both saddened and at the same time overjoyed because of the depth and level of love God has for me, a sinner. How much? “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:16–17, NLT) Please feel free to use your name in place of world when you read it, I always do.

    Anticipate! Experience! Believe! Be transformed!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13 LEB)

Amen Gary! Beautiful words. And I did use my name in place of world and I'm going to from now on. Thanks!
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)

Thanks my friend... I know in some places using our name makes the verse sound awkward but at the same time it makes it personal to us. Take care and have a wonderful blessed day... Gary
