Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
Your name isn’t Zion nor are you God’s City but…

“Though Zion is in ruins, the Lord will bring comfort, and the city will be as lovely as the Garden of Eden that he provided. Then Zion will celebrate; it will be thankful and sing joyful songs.” (Isaiah 51:3, CEV)

I’ll bet you already knew your name wasn’t Zion nor are you the City of God but that doesn’t stop God from loving you and blessing you as his very own! I don’t know if your life is in partial ruins, full blown ruins, or somewhere in between but I do know God is an expert at providing comfort in the face of ruin (voice of experience). Take Jesus for instance. He stood up to the powerful Roman occupation, he stood up to the powerful accusing fingers of the religious leaders, he was tried, convicted and sentenced then facing his fellow countrymen with his life seemingly in ruins died on a cross.

His name was Jesus not Zion, he was human like you, and like me not God’s City yet three days after his life seemingly lie in ruins God breathed into his lifeless, seemingly in ruins body back to life, but not just any life a divine life. And here’s the best news ever God’s resurrection power from the instant Jesus stepped from his tomb spread like a runaway wildfire throughout the ages even igniting the consuming/re-growing power of the Holy Spirit in your heart, and my heart. Like a giant black hole the Holy Spirit consumes our fears, our brokenness, our doubts, our weaknesses, our addictions, our hopelessness, our conflicts, our prejudices, our anger and in their place plants, grows, and nurtures the seeds God’s greatest blessings and we become new persons.

“Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17, CEV)

    Believe! Anticipate! Experience! Be transformed!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13 LEB)

AMEN Gary!!! Powerful and inspiring words in today's devotional.
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)
