Seriously....
I just spent two days in our County Courthouse observing a trial - partly in my role as Pastor, and partly in my role as Police Chaplain. Long story, but it had the potential of being a huge racial nightmare (if the all-white jury had acquitted the white (actually, he was Hispanic) deputy/jailer for beating up a black inmate). That's another story... (and he was found guilty)
Anyway, there was LOTS of police presence there for potential rioting / reactions, and one of the Texas Troopers assigned to me is a former Secret Service guy. He guarded both GWBush and Obama. I asked him if it was true that Hillary was a real witch to the Secret Service detail, and he said "absolutely - that's no secret at all, and she treated the help like dirt".
Then he said something surprising. He said "GW always treated us with respect, and was a genuinely good guy. But I have never seen anybody treat us as well as Obama". He explained that when they were traveling, Obama PERSONALLY would come and check on the detail to make sure they had eaten, were taken care of, and were ready to move on. He said he had never been treated so kindly by somebody who had so much authority over him. He felt like Obama sincerely appreciated and respected the Secret Service detail.
So there. Something nice about Obama.
