Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
    Mornings with Bridget…

This morning’s Glory Seed may not be for everyone because not everyone feels the deep emotional and spiritual connection with their pet. Patti and do. Sometime during the night of October 3rd Bridget our pet Shih Tzu passed quietly away in her sleep and suddenly we found a big chunk of our lives was gone. For Patti, Bridget was her last living connection with her mom who passed away last year. For me Bridget was my early morning companion, a constant presence who lay next to me in my chair as I spent my first hours of the day in God’s Word.

I am convinced that every life God creates God leaves something of Himself in them. God said, "I command the earth to give life TO ALL KINDS OF TAME ANIMALS, wild animals, and reptiles." And that's what happened. God made every one of them. Then he looked at what he had done, and it was good.” (Genesis 1:24-25 CEV, emphasis mine) Like all relationships having a pet means making sacrifices and our relationship with Bridget was no exception yet our sacrifices were offset by the benefits of Bridget’s undying loyalty, companionship, devotion, and love. Over the years I have had many teachers teach me about God and it was out of her unwavering, I-will-never-turn-away loyalty, companionship, devotion, and love Bridget taught me that God was totally devoted to our relationship.

This morning sitting here in my chair with and empty heart and an empty chair I find myself saddened at our loss yet I am comforted by the fact that God loved and trusted us enough with a life so precious and blessed as was Bridget’s life. It will always be a mystery why during the night of Saturday, October 3, 2015 she left us because there were no warning signs anything was wrong, it was almost as if she knew her work here was done that she had completed what God sent her to do so she accepted her eternal reward.

“Then he looked at what he had done, and it was good.” I believe one of the most powerful and influential ways God blesses us is through a devoted pet such as Bridget and I stated earlier perhaps not everyone will understand and agree with me. And that’s okay yet on the other hand never forget God goes to great lengths to bless us and help us deal with our day-to-day lives.

Goodbye Bridget you have truly been a great blessing to me and I will miss you terribly and I will think of you often and when I do I will thank God for bringing us together. Enjoy eternity my friend.

Believe! Anticipate! Experience! Be transformed! Celebrate!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary
