Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2016: Year of the Blessing
God is a Four Letter Word - Hope…

I’ve said this before and I will say it again and again – Divine Hope IS NOT wishful thinking! Divine Hope is not something we are waiting to happen – Divine Hope is something that has ALREADY happened, not yet fully realized. “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:13–14, NKJV, emphasis mine)

No matter what happens to me (or anyone who has accepted Jesus) God has already laid claim on my (and their) life! Paul goes on to write. “And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel…” (Colossians 1:21–23, NKJV)

Yesterday my doctor took a biopsy off my prostate and one day next week we will find out the results our hope (small h) is it will be good news however should that not be the case Divine Hope is already in place is and will be actively sustaining me. I am sure you’re familiar with what Paul wrote in chapter 4 of Philippians, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13, NKJV) Many people read it this way, “I can DO ALL THINGS, through Christ who strengthens me.” When actually it reads, “I can do all things, THROUGH CHRIST who strengthens me.”

Not one of us will be called to lead the people of Israel into the Promised Land but nevertheless these words from chapter 31 of Deuteronomy will see us through no matter what comes our way. “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you… And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”” (Deuteronomy 31:6, 8, NKJV)

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary
