  • Butterfly appreciation thread.

I went to a butterfly exhibit. They flew around my family and I. The Blue Morpho was stunning.

Sometimes looking at nature can soothe the soul.

Let's post pics and talk about butterflies.

Coincidence? NO1 I went to a butterfly house at a local museum. They had tropical Butterflies including a Blue Morpho. The colors on them were absolutely gorgeous. I don't know that I took photos but I was totally in awe...Until a Morpho flew against my 4 year old's nose and she started screaming bloody murder.

        We have millions of mosquitoes.

        I'd rather have butterflies.

We have a pretty consistent breeze across the top of our hill, so no mosquitoes. Almost never.

It's usually pretty windy here as well, but on the occasional still day........

Enter the Church and wash away your sins. For here there is a hospital and not a court of law. Do not be ashamed to enter the Church; be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent. – St. John Chrysostom

I think we had one of those in 2015.

I wonder whether the butterflies would eat the mosquitoes.

"What I pray of you is, to keep your eye upon Him, for that is everything. Do you say, 'How am I to keep my eye on Him?' I reply, keep your eye off everything else, and you will soon see Him. All depends on the eye of faith being kept on Him. How simple it is!" (J.B. Stoney)

I think butterflies sip nectar from flowers. Don't believe they are omnivores.
