She will be missed, I as introduced to Science fiction and an author whom I love when in Fourth Grade my teacher read us "A Wrinkle in Time" she will be sorely missed.Madeleine L’Engle, an author whose childhood fables, religious meditations and fanciful science fiction transcended both genre and generation, most memorably in her children’s classic “A Wrinkle in Time,” died on Thursday in Litchfield, Conn. She was 88.

Me too. she got me hooked on scifi - I didnt even realize she was Christian or see the Christian themes in her books until much later. Then I read her wrinkle in time books all over again as an adult and enjoyed them all over again with a totally new insight.
I will miss her but look forward to meeting her one day!

My sister told me the news by saying 'She tessered'! :)
I love A Wrinkle In Time, though I think some of the later books in the series are downright weird. She wrote a very interesting book about caring for her sick mother, as well.

That's a shame, but she lived a long life. I had no idea she was that old, for lack of a better word. I sincerely enjoyed what she wrote!
