"All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed, second it is violently opposed, and third, it is accepted as self-evident." Arthur Schopenhauer, Philosopher, 1788-1860

Re: the truth about hell?
Actually the seed of the serpent were the nephilim, and all the children of Adam hated them eventually.

Re: the truth about hell?
Hmmmm...which dots have you connected to reach this conclusion? Just curious....cuz unless the nephilim are somehow connected to the flesh of men I don't see this as a possibility. In Eve's case the voice of the serpent was essentially the voice of her own flesh. Eve's heart became divided when a perverted form of God's word was made manifest within her consciousness.
Unless, of course, there existed an actual lizard that proved to be wiser than men - you know, one that lost it's little legs for leading the woman astray.
Jesus, when He was temped of the Devil (the serpent of old), also experienced the same sort of inward conversation. Wasn't no visible Devil there speaking to Him.

Re: the truth about hell?
Serpent/Dragon/Satan seed is Gentile Kingdoms of the Beast.
Revelation 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
Here mixed with Jewish Kingdoms of God.
Jeremiah 31:27 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.
Daniel 2:43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
Revelation 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

Re: the truth about hell?
Yes John....I can comprehend this view through my own. Though all men exist, on a personal level, with the seed of the serpent abiding in their flesh (the man Jesus included) it is possible through Christ to render it dormant by way of the seed of God's Word. I am viewing things from an inward perspective. If I expand my view to the outward I can see that those who allow the serpent's seed to grow up in them become members of Babylon and planters of seed after it's own kind. Likewise, those who through Christ allow the seed of God's Word to grow up in them become planters of God's seed after it's own kind. In the end two kingdoms are produced - God's and the world's. Only in final analysis I would call these kingdoms mystery Israel (the true Church) and mystery Babylon (the kingdoms of the world that make war against the Saints).
I believe the book of Habakkuk not only spoke of old Israel's literal captivity in Babylon but also of 1) Jesus own day where Israel there is likened to Babylon (at least in part).... and 2) the time of the end where there becomes only the true Church and the kingdoms of the world (mystery Babylon). Note that Paul makes reference to Habakkuk's first complaint in the book of Acts applying God's answer to his own day...and then the writer of Hebrews makes reference to God's answer to Habakkuk's second complaint applying it to the end of days.

Re: the truth about hell?
The bible teaches that Satan was thrown down and that he is the true ruler of this earth. He says to Jesus you can have all of this all you have to do is bow down to me. I personnally believe that most of hell is here on planet earth, we experience it in this lifetime,Most of this hell is of our own making by being to attached to things in an ever changing world. Jesus taught you must love God more than the things of the world.Buddha taught that as long as ones happiness is dependent on things outside oneself you continue to suffer.Jesus taught do you not know the kingdom of God is within. I believe one should do what they can to help thier neighbors,Knowing full well that God provides for all ,and everything is how it is suppose to be in this moment. People hate suffering yet the less one has the quicker they turn to God, and the more one has the less use they have for faith in God. this last statement was just a generalization. It seams to me people in crisis turn to God with the most faith. Do you have to be a saint to have this kind of faith all the time? I hope not. What we call satan is his own enemy, because the more strife he causes the more people run towards God. Sometimes good can come out of what seams bad. Baraka Bashad Abu Njoroge

Re: the truth about hell?
Just because the nephilim had the flesh of men doesn't mean they weren't controlled by the rebellious angels.
It is very likely the "serpent" was a crocodile or alligator. And it does crawl along on its belly. They whole excercise was to show that mankind could not learn much by being blind.Unless, of course, there existed an actual lizard that proved to be wiser than men - you know, one that lost it's little legs for leading the woman astray.
You insist the supernatural is always involved in inward conversation. This comes from the days when Pagans used drugs to communicate to their gods. Not that you use drugs, but I don't believe in a God who has conversations with individuals. There is a reason why the bible is unique; mankind has rarely been spoken to by God.Jesus, when He was temped of the Devil (the serpent of old), also experienced the same sort of inward conversation. Wasn't no visible Devil there speaking to Him.
And my thoughts are that the devil is weak, and that humans have always caused more evil.My thoughts....

Hey spitndirt,
quick question...
This is an interesting idea. From whence cometh it? I'm curious to see this idea fleshed out a bit more.In Eve's case the voice of the serpent was essentially the voice of her own flesh. Eve's heart became divided when a perverted form of God's word was made manifest within her consciousness.

Re: the truth about hell?
There is consciousness after death, this is clearly shown in Luke 16:19-31. The Bible never says this is a parable, that's just men's opinion; and even if it were, ALL the parables of Jesus are true-to-life, they are taken from real life experiences. Like the Good Samaritan, there really was such a road from Jerusalem to Jericho, and it really was frewuented by robbers, so much so that history recalls a garrison was built there to protect travellers on that road, and indeed both Jews and Samaritans were real. Every element in the story was real. Jesus talked about fishermen and fishes, tax-collectors and coins, sowers and seeds, things his Jewish listeners were familiar with. So from where did he get the rich man and Lazarus from? Certainly not from pagan false doctrine, for Jesus never borrowed from the myths of heathen religions. Jesus is the truth, and all he said was true.

Not surprisingly, Tweb is dying. Closed minds develop into control freakism, and it's all downhill from there. The 'good ole boy' club inevitably leads to intellectual decay when unchecked by forward movement....
