Translation (NASB):

He who believes in the Son has eternal life;
but he who does not obey the Son will not see life,
but the wrath of God rests upon him.

Translation (NRSV):

Now when Jesus heard that the Pharisees had heard, "Jesus is making and baptizing more disciples than John"
— although it was not Jesus himself but his disciples who baptized —
he left Judea and started back into Galilee.
