      Transliteration:
      ei peritomēn lambanei anthrōpos en sabbatō̧ hina mē lythȩ̄ ho nomos Mōuseōs, emoi cholate hoti holon anthrōpon hygiē epoiēsa en sabbatō̧?

      Translation (NRSV)
      If a man receives circumcision on the sabbath in order that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because I healed a man’s whole body on the sabbath?

      Analysis (Zerwick):
      εἰ : if therefore, "real" condition.
      λυθῇ : aorist passive subjunctive of λύω loose, break a law.
      χολᾶτε : 2 m.p. of χολάω : you are angry.
      ὅλος : whole, entire.

      Transliteration:
      mē krinete katʼ opsin, alla tēn dikaian krisin krinete.

      Translation (NJB)
      Do not keep judging according to appearances; let your judgement be according to what is right.

      Analysis (Zerwick):
      μὴ κρίνετε : imperative : do not keep judging [BG: Especially in prohibitions it commonly happens that μή with the present imperative is used to forbid the continuation of an act...¶246].

      Look! He is talking in public, and they say nothing against him! Can it be that they really know that he is the Messiah?

      Analysis (Zerwick):
      ἴδε : aorist imperative of ὁράω : here he is.
      παρρησίᾳ : publicly, openly or freely and confidently.
      μήποτε; : a tentative interrogative, perhaps? can it be that?.
      ἀληθῶς : adverb : indeed, really.
      ἔγνωσαν : aorist of γινώσκω : have come to the conclusion, aorist effective [BC: The effective aorist.
