Hannity implies US troops are terrorists.
On Hannity & Colmes, right wing commentator Sean Hannity implied that US troops were terrorists.
Commenting on the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to Al Gore, Hannity stated that he would refuse the award if offered to him on the grounds that it has been awarded to “terrorists” such as Arafat and as such is a terrorist award. In the next breath he stated that he would give it to “US troops”.
Hannity should be ashamed of himself for calling US troops terrorists and should issue an immediate apology. Otherwise, he should be Dixie Chicked off the air."As yesterday's positive report card shows, childrens do learn when standards are high and results are measured."

Re: Hannity implies US troops are terrorists.
Not true. If Hannity was giving the award it would no longer be a terrorist awards in his hypothetical. Unless you think Hannity thinks he himself is a terrorist.
"Years ago, I mean decades ago, I read a quote about politicians performing quid pro quo favors for campaign cash, and whether or not we could prove it. The guy who was quoted opined that it was difficult to determine. He noted that in many cases, the payoff might not take the form of votes on legislative action -- those might be detectable, and so are avoided -- but could take subtler forms, like the question that is never asked at a hearing.
The media's doing a terrific job of not asking questions it doesn't want to know the answer to. It doesn't ask these questions in bulk, and the great volume of questions it doesn't ask makes it cheap to not ask questions.
And it passes these savings on to you, the customer." Ace

Re: Hannity implies US troops are terrorists.
I'm pretty certain thats not what he was implying (we're talking about Sean Hannity here!); I imagine he just chose his words inappropriately. Indulging in a bit of hyperbole about the Nobel Peace Prize, before going on to praise troops via a bit of stupid juxtapositioning.
