Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2016: Year of the Blessing
    Closing and opening doors…

When God says NO does he really mean NO?

There’s no doubt in my mind that when God says NO he means it. However, there are times I believe when God’s NO isn’t the same as my NO. I believe there are times when God’s NO simply means NO to my way because he has a much better way. A good example of what I mean is found in chapter 16 of Acts. “Paul and his friends went through Phrygia and Galatia, but the Holy Spirit would not let them preach in Asia. After they arrived in Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not let them. So they went on through Mysia until they came to Troas.” (Acts 16:6-8 CEV)

In response to Paul and his friends desire to give ministry they were told NO. They were told NO God then, “During the night, Paul had a vision of someone from Macedonia who was standing there and begging him, ‘Come over to Macedonia and help us!’ After Paul had seen the vision, we began looking for a way to go to Macedonia. We were sure that God had called us to preach the good news there.” (Acts 16:9-10 CEV)

God closed one door yet as it closed another door opened. But then that’s what God does. He methodically goes with us and a head of us closing and opening doors. Sometimes when he says NO and a door slams shut we begin to second guess his motives which have a tendency for us to think about ourselves rather then God. And when we think about ourselves we close our eyes to God saying yes and opening another door.

There are times when God says NO so he can say YES! Are you facing a closed door? Has God said NO to you? If he has don’t close your eyes instead look and wait for another door to open. Believe that it WILL!

Believe in presence of the GOD and in the strength of his GRACE!
    Gary
