Some people make excuses for their bad behavior. For example, some people say they should be not morally responsible for their bad behavior because they were insane at the time that they committed the act. Others say that they had a genetic predisposition to engage in bad behavior and that they could not have chosen otherwise. They say that they cannot change their desires or override them with other desires. How would you respond to these excuses that people make? If a defense attorney made these excuses for his client, how should the prosecuting attorney respond?
