GPS navigation
I'm looking to get my mom a simple GPS navigation system to use in the car. She's not very tech savvy so it needs to be easy to use; voice turn by turn and all.
What suggestions do you guys have?Freedom means love without condition, without a beginning or an end.-FIF

Re: GPS navigation
I've got a Garmin Nuvi that works really nicely. (I got the Nuvi 310)
It's really simple to use, it does voice turn by turn, autorouting, plays mp3's and ebooks, does handsfree for my cellphone. If you get the more expensive models of Nuvi they will also attempt to pronounce the street names, not just say "turn left here"
Nuvi 310
Nuvi 770
All the Garmin automotive models
I don't like Tom-Tom, but that's because they don't have coverage for South Africa, and have only just produced maps for NZ (and I can't get NZ maps for my iPaq).
Same goes for Route 66.

Re: GPS navigation
I just found it funny 'cause prolly 99% of the readers are in North America so it was like, "oh crap, no South Africa!!! You've got to be kidding me
!"
