Re: No Stopping Preterism Now
Now you are lieing or confused. All Preterist should believe that Christ's body was a flesh body with a spirit of God dwelling in it.. You know "and the word became flesh. You have never heard a word I said have you. What the hell is wrong with you. where did you get the idea that I believe that Christ did not have a physical body? He may have even had a a flesh body when returned to Judge the world in 70 AD but the scripture does not say if he did or not. I personally do not believe it was physical then.
So I believe the incarnation was flesh. and I always have. The Resurrection was flesh. Can you understand this???
The term "meatball" simply means flesh. Wow, what a blasphemer I am, claiming that the word became flesh. This only proves that you lost it years ago darling. or perhaps you never had it to lose.
But at our death we will become living spirits like Christ. Transformed in the twinkeling of an eye.
The real reason you labeled me a heretic is because you are in over your head talking to me and scared. Big bad Theolog scares poor little dd. You have bought into some off the wall version of preterism and are incapable of thinking in a real Preterist paradigm. so you chase us off and make up lies about what you do not understand.
Of course you don't want to tell us your view or model of the spiritual world, because you don't have one. What do you really think. Is it just a warm feeling in your tummy???????Flaming Full Preterist. If you don't get it don't bother.
The early Church fathers were theological nitwits and things got worse. If your theology involves them your'e lost and you need to reformat.

Well I have read it and read it well thank you. If you are so up on the subject why don't you make a report for us. El Rabi. A sentence or two will do. Dd once claimed she had a view on the spiritual realm and would get back to me. She said she lost it moving. If I am not mistaken she claimed they were disembodied spirits with that is no bodys. I believe she doesn't know diddly about it and it's time for her to put up or shut up.

For everyone else's disgust, our friend theolog here denies that Christ was risen bodily. In fact he describes that belief as Christ being a "meatball with a spook in it." Just in case you thought I was a bit hasty in my label of heresy. He goes beyond heretic to blatant blasphemer.
Back to this assumption of yours, I suppose you had other things on your mind when you were reading my post back then. The issue was not if Christ was resurrected in the flesh it was if Christ will return in the flesh at the last day. When this last day was is the real issue here.
Ok lets get this straight. God became flesh, he was 100% God and 100% man/flesh. when he died on the cross he was 100% God and 100% man/flesh. When he resurrected himself he was 100% God and 100% man/flesh. Are you clear on this???? I have always believed and taught this. My "Deity of Christ" Bible study is legendary around here it went on for 14 years every Tuesday night rain or shine..
How you could have read that I believed Christ did not have a physical/flesh/natural/human body from anything I have ever read or said is truly mystifying. Perhaps it was one of your straw-man attacks that backfired.
Now if you think that God still has his flesh and blood body in the spiritual realm you are wrong. Paul said "flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God." Either the Bible is wrong or you are wrong. Sorry, I have to go with the Bible. If you want to slap me around for this remember; who you are in this world is who you will be for eternity.Last edited by Theolog; December 6th 2007 at 01:47 PM.

Re: No Stopping Preterism Now
You are such a dork. What part of "RISEN bodily" was unclear to you? I am referring to His resurrection which you MOST CERTAINLY described as being a belief that Christ was a meatball with a spook in it. Hey, here's the quote:

Everyone is free to read the thread - you are particularly clear (and contradict what you said above - guess you didn't figure I still had the link or something
)
Off with you Pinnochio - and if you think some "study" of yours was "legendary" around "here" you are deluded. The only thing you are legendary for around here is being a rank flaming heretic.Nochyu mokraya ptitsa nikogda ne letaet.

"Meatball with a spook in it?"
Seriously...since Christ took so much trouble to convince people he was in the same body he died in, wouldn't he have said something about it changing after he went to heaven??
Even if he had decided not to explain this, it's pretty clear from John and Paul that they think Jesus is in a bodily form.To the King of Kings and Lord of Lords be glory forever!

Re: No Stopping Preterism Now
The very same body. flesh and spirit. meat ball and spook. My how offencive, saying Christ was resurrected flesh and spirit. YESSSSSSS. that is what the incarnation is all about.
Christ was a "meat ball" (slang for flesh/ man) Christ was a spook (slang for spirit/ God)

Re: No Stopping Preterism Now
You ordered me check out the Greek scholars I did, they confirmed that Paul was juxtaposing the spiritual body is different than the natural Body. Of course you are still blinded by your so-called orthodox presupposition that Christ is now a meat ball with a spook in it, sitting in heaven.

Yup that would be me.. The idea that Jesus Christ, The great God and Creator of the universe is now confined to a fleshly body in heaven is about the most idiotic lame brained view of God imiginable and my statement is on the exact level your theology deserves. If you think the spiritual realm needs flesh it only shows how highly you think of yourself.
NO DD Flesh and Blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. It's spiritual baby doll. I know it will be a bummer for those that love the flesh but their is a place in heaven call "outer darkness" for all those that shun the Spiritual light of God.Flaming Full Preterist.
