spring-loaded folders
Cir you have no idea how much you improved my quality of Mac-life by teaching me that last night. They freakin' rock. Just when I thought things couldn't get any better

Re: spring-loaded folders
yeah it really did - I have been moving all kinds of crap much easier today - putting all my Steve Jobs pics in their proper folder etc.

Hey do you know any sites that sell refurbished mac laptops?

Re: spring-loaded folders
Are their prices all accurate?
Look at this brand new Cinema display, $899.

And the refurbs of the same size:

The 23 inch is listed as having an original price of $1999.
I'm guessing there's some sort of issue.

Re: spring-loaded folders
Hmm I think that is when they first came out - so that is misleading. I also think the price has dropped on the new ones because they are coming out with something new (rumoured). I have the 23 inch cinema display, I love it.

Re: spring-loaded folders
Also, spring loaded folders are pretty cool.
Also, the same concept sort of applies to dragging and dropping from space to space, or pretty much anything with Exposé. if I want to drag something from the Desktop to iChat, for example, I can hit the hot corner to expose the desktop, grab the item, hit the hot corner again to bring my app back up, then drop it where I want. This also works with switching spaces, etc.
Or I can just do it all in Quicksilver.
