Why do people do unethical things like steal money from their place of work or shoplift? Why do I often feel as though I'm a foreigner in the country I was born in? Is it because I've been a Christian since childhood?

Some people are all just, "meh." Because money buys you things. Most people who shoplift don't even think they're harming their community. They're like, "xyz company makes millions of dollars. I am hurting no one." Same rationale for people who order a doppio espresso in a venti cup and then fill up the dang thing with half and half at the free cream and sugar bar. Or say, "can I get an Americano but with steamed milk instead of water" because it's less expensive than a latte.Originally posted by Christianbookworm View Post

They clearly failed economics. If a big company loses too much via shoplifting, guess what happens? They won't be cutting the CEO's salary.
