Fire! Well atleast extreme heat. Ehud is currently made of sand. dumping him into a furnace would turn him into glass.

"I would join countless numbers of evangelical Protestants and say I have come to know Christ with fulfilling and life-changing effects and daily witness His grace and leadership in my life. But just because God in His grace and mercy has met us where we are and adapted Himself to our unique cultural and religious circumstances in no way means He has abandoned His original plan. God does not contradict Himself. Truth is intolerant, and truth is found in the Church’s living and Holy Tradition. It is my growing conviction that only a strong living Tradition can protect us from the corrosive and destructive forces of modern life, the insidious and deceptive effects of modern pluralism, and the disheartening and confusing proliferation of religious opinions...What are we to do with this "cloud of witnesses," this Holy Tradition through which they live and speak with such clarity and certitude? Well, for me there seems to be only one logical response. I must turn to the Church and its sacred Tradition; I must listen humbly and be instructed. I cannot let God’s marvelous blessings of the past blind me to what I have missed or deter me from that to which He would lead me still. I must return home to Orthodoxy." Rev. Dorraine S. Re: Shrike Team #6: Island of Conflict
Well, now we know how Brimstone could beat him....

Someone around here sent me a PM in which they DID correctly guess how Brom would win this one -- and we'll see part of that two scenes hence. First, though, we need to get Sonica back...
Got to go. It's time for one of those FL thunderstorms and I'll need to unplug the whole kit and kaboodle....

Re: Shrike Team #6: Island of Conflict
I like how Ehud's strength isn't anywhere near Brom's despite how he should be able to put the weight of sand behind every blow. Ehud's never really managed to master those sand powers... probably because he never used em often enough.

Re: Shrike Team #6: Island of Conflict
An update so fast? Yay! :D
So we have a sort of stalemate. Ehud isn't strong enough to really hurt Brom and Brom can't hurt Ehud like this.
I wonder what would happen if the whole island sank. Not deep, just enough to be covered with water.... ;)
And is Ehud really where his form is, like completely, or is it just part of him, or is it just a puppet he controls while being in the soil itself?"There are only two infinite things:

Re: Shrike Team #6: Island of Conflict
Felicity will explain some of this next time, but I don't mind saying it now.
Basically, Ehud can center his consciousness into a given amount of sand/soil. How much? Well, the more sand/soil he tries to use, the more diffuse the consciousness becomes, and the harder the sand/soil is to control. In this he differs from the way Sandman in Spiderman #3 was depicted. There, Sandman was able to control huge amounts of sand no differently than small amounts. In this I consider Ehud to be more realistic in terms of what such abilities would look like.
So yes, Ehud is where his form is, completely, though we may assume that he can extend his consciousness into any place where there is sand/soil associated with the island. His control, however, becomes less precise the more he tries to spread his consciousness around. We'll see this come into play in the next few scenes.

Re: Shrike Team #6: Island of Conflict
So it DOES takes something out of Ehud to keep this form. Looks like unless Ehud has some trick up his sleeve, Brom's got this one provided he doesn't squander his strength endurance.
