I like how Ehud's strength isn't anywhere near Brom's despite how he should be able to put the weight of sand behind every blow. Ehud's never really managed to master those sand powers... probably because he never used em often enough.

So we have a sort of stalemate. Ehud isn't strong enough to really hurt Brom and Brom can't hurt Ehud like this.

His control, however, becomes less precise the more he tries to spread his consciousness around. We'll see this come into play in the next few scenes.
