This is about me, isn't it?
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Oh, Sea. How did you know that I love roses?

      Thank you.

Well, I love them myself, and gardened for years.

Sadly, I can only grow hardy varieties here. I miss having a garden full of hybrid teas that last more than one season.

          Do you still grow them?

I live in an apartment now but before I grew a lot of Knock-out Roses when I rented a house.

What were your favourites? And what other things did you grow?

Well, it is only a picture of a rose, so....

And a beautiful rose it is!

More appreciated are his words. And he is not sucking up.

One was called Belinda's dream and the other was just a generic Knock-Out Rose. I also grew a few Salvia plants and butterfly bushes/lilacs. Some were at my parents house, and others were at my rent house.

                      I'm decent at it.

Ooh! Really pretty! So those look like hardy roses, especially the Knock-Out ones. Still not hardy enough for our climate. We are growing a John Cabot now, which is really nice, and smells wonderful. I need another one, or something like it to act as a climber for an empty spot with a trellis.

I am currently enthralled with bearded irises. We have a nice bed of those in our back yard, after years of trying them in several places in the yard. Have received several plants from neighbours and sisters and I can hardly go to a nursery in the spring without bringing another one home.

Mr. mossy is the green thumb in our household. But I certainly enjoy the fruits of his labours.

I also love.....wait for it.....mossroses. Couldn't find any this year to plant, which makes me sad. They seem to be getting harder to find every year. Might have to start them from seed like we do with sweetpeas.
