The part I don't get the most is:
How do you not catch your breath? Turn off your computer and go watch TV. The only reason Silly never caught his breath is because he's been smoking so much cocaine-laced dubies. The TWEB newbie is attacked from all sides with no time to catch his breath."Everybody wants to go to heaven. They just don't want God to be there when they get there." Paul Washer

Poor Harry hasn't caught up yet....meanwhile here's some Gold from commenters on his last entry:
Lady through the Looking Glass said...
While browsing some sites for Christian apologists, I found his, but didn't stay very long, because I was turned off by his heavily sarcastic tone. Even if what he was saying made perfect sense, it was lost on me, because he came across as arrogant. I believe that truth should be presented with an attitude of humility, highlighting the facts, and certainly not by trying to belittle those who do not share one's views.

Reader nominates someone he had a chat with...choice quotes:
Let's send jwarrend and Kirk Cameron to witness to him.the church is ****, and alot of reseach later, came ot the decision, lifes prob better when believe in nothing
[Christianity is] albout what you've done wrong even buddhism is about mostly positivity
lol, if you base your life on a religion thats all about "ah i might do something wrong and have to waste my ***** time saying sorry for it.." ... thats messed..
rather be sorry for nothing, no regrets, no ******, no one greater, just me, my life my ***** choice
name one time god says WOW YOUR SO GREAT YOU"RE DOING WELL
no.. he's like DON"T DO THIS and YOU'VE ***** UP! REPENT
just like all the other fairys and goblins in childrens fairy tales to teach kids or anyone studpid enough to fall for the dribble
nothing in history about the church means anthing today
you just believe it because.. reasons don't matter
And no, there is no scienctific proof that some magic man jesus existed
lol and if there was, it'd be some made up ******* by some christian turned scientist funded by the US government
I don't find anything difficult in christianity, lol it's easy. you can do whatever the *** you want, and just repent to the air and when you die you will be in some magical place appaerntly

Re: February 2008 Screwball Nominations
JP, just so you know, until a couple of months ago, he was a hardcore fully-into-it-mate charismatic Christian.
Who obviously didn't understand his own religion.
And come on, there was more than that! What about his quip about there being pyramids and dinosaur bones, and somehow this negates any evidence that would be sufficient for Jesus' existence?

Nomination for John Powell for this asinine comparison between the evidence for God and the evidence for Santa Claus:
http://www.theologyweb.com/campus/sh...=109181&page=4Johnny: I think you're making Santa Claus up. Where does he live? Can I go see him at home?
Daddy: Oh no you can't, he lives too far away for you to visit. He lives . . . at the north pole, yea that's the ticket.

within reason
i doubt that your concerned with the atheist "reading" of the word.
Clearly you both have access to the same information and the same use of eyes and memories.
What concerns you is our interpretation and use of what we read. maybe God did give out a picture book, the pictures look like words.
Words hide meaning like a picture hides discriptions. We both see plainly, but interpret differently.
Feel differently.
So when you say "get an education" you really mean "learn and believe my understanding."

Gold also for Paul Jacobsen. He cleaned up the profanity but is still stupid -- he uses Rational Responders (and their use of John Remsberg) as a source!
