Actually I have heard stock tank used in California. I have never been close enough to the subject to know what is normally used.Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

And I pronounce "slough" "slew".
At least that's how my Dad told me it was pronounced. So, of course, that is the correct way to pronounce it.
If you don't believe me, here is a whole list of words that rhyme with slough.
