Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2016: Year of the Blessing
    God never gives up…

    PEACE be unto you!

“God is with me, but more, God is within me, giving me existence. Let me dwell for a moment on God's life-giving presence in my body, my mind, my heart and in the whole of my life. In these days, God taught me as a schoolteacher teaches a pupil" (Saint Ignatius). I remind myself that there are things God has to teach me yet, and ask for the grace to hear them and let them change me.”**

According to Saint Ignatius an “old dog” is still teachable and that’s good news for an “old dog” like me (70 in 2 weeks). Whenever you hear the phrase “an act of God” it is usually associated with a disaster of some kind, or getting a government agency to do something. However, what we don’t realize is God is a tireless God of action. For example, there are times when it takes an act of God to teach me but that’s cool with me, although I wish some of His lessons weren’t so painful and long (know what I mean).

One of the hardest (and needful) lessons for any of us to learn is “God is with me, but more God is within me, giving me existence.” There are those who unfortunately learn it too late. I remember hearing a radio minister saying he was ready for Jesus to return but he didn’t want him to return just yet because there were family, friends, and even enemies who weren’t ready. As I look back over my life, I can see periods when I was one of them. However, not only is God a God of action He is also a God of persistence and never gives up. God came down with me (He’s been there with you too) in the trenches, valleys, deserts, storms, detours, and thrashings and touched me alive in such a way I have new life deep within me.

While I am no one special and neither are you God takes each one of us under His tutelage, auspices, sponsorship, guidance, protection, support and makes each one of us special. Please take a few minutes today to dwell for a moment on God's life-giving presence in your body, your mind, your heart and in the whole of your life He has a great deal to say to you and to teach you!

Believe in presence of the GOD and in the strength of his GRACE!
    GRACE and PEACE,
    Gary
