Re: Question
You've picked a hairy question to ask. You are right when you say it is a religion. Many will use wicca and witchcraft interchanably, believing they are the same thing. They are not. Wicca is a form of witchcraft, but not all witches are wiccan.
The debate raging at the moment is over what makes you a 'true' wiccan. Many share similar beliefs but have moved away from the tenents put forward by Gardner - considered the father of Wicca. Traditionalists will say only those who have gone through Gardnerian and Alexandrian training can call themselves true wiccans.
All basically share the ideas of a god and goddess, often known as the lord and lady. Casting a circle made of energy for protection. Having ritual tools. Working with elements. Performing magic - though you don't actually have to do this to be wiccan. Believing in the 3fold law - what you send out comes back to you 3 times over, so don't do naughty stuff. And a crede known as the Rede, which is basically summed up by most as 'And it harm none, do what thou wilt'.

That's a very broad question, and one that I'm not even sure where to start. You may want to start with the Wikipedia entry for Wicca, then if you have further questions, ask here.
