Another Review of Harris Neuroscience Study...in Simpler English

      http://www.samharris.org/images/uplo..._Editorial.pdf

There is probably something wrong with my brain, because my first response to almost ANY input is disbelief, but then I am also a bit anti-social = p

Or, they need to study these reactions in elderly people....
my reading comprehension is nearly prefect

      I think you're exaggerating.

Perhaps you want to qualify that statement some.

When you wake up in the morning and go into the bathroom to pee, do you believe the toilet is really there and proceed to sit down? Or are you wary of accepting that?

I think Harris may be on to something, and modern neuroscience is making some strides in investigation, but the specific neuron-mechanisms behind complex, abstract human socio-cultural-religious thoughts and beliefs are not going to be easily summed up in neat little generalizations.

I believe the toilet is there, but since I live with a man, I never believe the seat is down = p

Well, if you can see the area of the brain that process belief vs disbelief, you can tell if politicians are lying when they say they believe in god ...

Sorry...I blame that on your poor training.

My wife conquered that years ago...although my dirty clothes on the floor she has not bean able to overcome...

Pandering to those you depend on for money and power is certainly as easily a learned behavior as putting down the seat after you pee.
