You mean cognizant of your interpretation of the Qur'an, no it's not the same.

      No.

I mean that Muslims are not cognizant of what the Koran really says.

If they were, then they would no longer be Muslims.

Ok, so Muslims don't know the Qur'an. So since the time of the Prophet up until now no Muslim, whether they were born Arabic speakers, or had to learn Arabic, and Qur'an really knew what the Qur'an is about?

      Agreed.

The original Christians who penned the Koran were very intimate with the Holy Bible. However, this intimacy was lost in what we now know as islam.

      Re: Surah 9:30

To assert that 'Ezra is the son of God' is a Quranic error , as it was mentioned in 9:30\Quran, is absolutely unwarranted. In other words, the claims that there have never been some Jews ,throughout history, who believed that Ezra is the son of God are inconclusive and are merely hypothesizes. So to make a final judgment on something, we have to have a fact to base our final judgment on.

As we have some people who think there weren't Jews who thought Ezra is God's son we also have other people on the contrary . For instance, In his book A History of The Jews of Arabia, Gordon Darnell Newby, who is a professor of Islamic, Jewish and comparative studies at Emory University, says that it is possible that the Jews of Hijaz did believe that Ezra is the son of God. Also, both British orientalist George Sale ,in his translation of Koran, and Rabbi Reuven Firestone ,in his book Children of Abraham: an introduction to Judaism for Muslims, back up the same idea. However, I believe that it is not strange to find some Jews calling Ezra the son of God since many people where called the same in the Torah, Talmud and the dead sea scrolls.

Another point is that I think that Christians, since they have the most presence in this thread, should not chide Muslims on that 'regardless whether we can consider it a Quranic error or not', cause they blame Muslims for things they, Christians themselves, have in their own books so when we want to apply logic we have to apply it on both sides.

Lastly, let us discuss for the sake of clarifying things and not to challenge others. For me the objective of discussing religion is not to agree, rather the objective is not to conflict.
