For about two months it is pretty close to daylight all the time. Here I gets sort of dark around1:00 AM, but still enough ambient light to read by. It has to be really tough for kids here.

Heck, I battle with my kids having the sun setting at 9pm in Summer. (their bedtime it 7pm, 8 pm for the eldest). I'm sure #2 is solar powered. I don't think I could cope as a parent with the daylight hours you have in summer
Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

My brother was in sixth grade and I was in third and we could still hear the neighboring kids, some still in kindergarten playing outside.

And I've dealt with the hotter dryer heat you get in Africa ... at the one company I worked at in South Africa the receptionist liked to keep the foyer at 16°C (60.8°F) while outside it was 45°C (113°F), going outside was like walking into a wall of heat.
I remember decades ago when I was into shortwave listening, it was around 3 AM on a winter night that I picked up a shortwave station in Australia. They gave the temperature as 30 degrees. At first I thought, it must be cold down there too, then I realized....

It was a wall of heat. That's what building envelopes do to you.

Same here in Georgia. It was the warmest Winter we had since I moved here in 1973. In fact I would wager the last half of Autumn was colder.
