      Re: New Website: Classic Apologetics!

New collection of Thanksgiving material, just in time for Turkey Day:

      http://www.classicapologetics.com/special/thanks.html

Also a ton of new stuff on the 4th of July page:

      http://www.classicapologetics.com/special/4th.html

      http://www.tektoonics.com

Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.

The entry on Thomas Aquinas could link to newadvent.org for the Summa Theologica.

Your posts on Aquinas have somewhat inspired me to learn more about this man and his ideas. Where is a good place to start?

Thanks for that! I will give you the advice of C.S. Lewis.

Read Plato. Not books about Plato.

      Re: New Website: Classic Apologetics!

1 Corinthians 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

"I recall your earliest lessons. You fell from one thousand feet during the walk of death, which, alone, was odd enough at your age, but you made short work of the walk of maiming and the walk of intense discomfort and tore your head clean off. I comforted you, well, your head, saying that you could just walk if off, because, you know, the cut was clean and then you would punch a mountain. In space!" -Master Li, Jade Empire

      Ok.

Do you recommended a particular translation? What dialogue should I start with?

Aquinas didn't write any dialogues. At least none that I know of.

Now if you were to read Plato, the most important one to read is the Republic.

For Aquinas, I'd just start at the beginning, but it's good to have a knowledge of Aristotle as well. The Summa's really tough in a lot of places.

As for translation, I have none I favor in particular at this point.
