We have an interesting new item here, and the webmaster of Classic Apologetics is looking for someone who can translate this French into English -- not the whole thing, just the item on page 3 indicated with the arrow.
It's apparently somewhat archaic French, so the usual translation software isn't working as well as he'd like.
Anyone out there know French well enough to have a go at it?

Good stuff! Erm, classic.
To the Chesterton links, this page might be added. And I do have to do a Chesterton quote.

Pimptastic quote.
Interesting that Chesterton was already aware of how some forms of skepticism would take a "multiplying" factor that would create a bit of a "vicious circle".

Re: New Website: Classic Apologetics!
JP, in our eternal email about books that I find around town, I've asked about a couple books by a guy named A.B. (Alexander Balmain) Bruce, whom you haven't heard of, or haven't heard of the particular titles I mentioned. Today I found another one by Bruce in my college's library sale simply called Apologetics, published in 1905. I looked under Bruce's name on the Classic Apologetics website and this book isn't listed there.
The full bibliographic data: Alexander Balmain Bruce. Apologetics: Or, Christianity Defensively Stated. (International Theological Library series). Originally published by Charles Scribner's Sons: 1892, but I have the 8th edition from 1905: Scribner (if that means anything). It's over 500 pages and looks VERY intriguing."Everybody wants to go to heaven. They just don't want God to be there when they get there." Paul Washer

I've found dozens of uses for that material in the last few months. What a great resource it is.
CS Lewis, Mere ChristianityThere is no need to be worried by facetious people who try to make the Christian hope of 'Heaven' ridiculous by saying they do not want 'to spend eternity playing harps'. The answer to such people is that if they cannot understand books written for grown-ups, they should not talk about them.
