Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2016: Year of the Blessing
    God? Yeah I know Him…

    Shalom!

Perhaps the greatest lesson Jesus has taught me over the years is the FATHER wants us to know Him. To know Jesus is to know the ONE who sent Him. To know Jesus is to know God. To know the FATHER is to depend on Him. To know the FATHER is to trust Him. The greater our intimacy with God the more we’ll trust Him. Intimacy does not come or deepen out of a vaccum. Intimacy grows and deepens out of the those overwhelming experiences that are beyond our capacity to adequately deal with them ourselves. Intimacy grows and deepens when we let our guard down and allow others and God enter what we consider our sacred space. The intimacy we hunger for is not physical it is spiritual and only God is spiritual enough to meet our most intimate needs.

At no other time in his life was Jesus’ hunger for intimacy more pronounced than the night of his arrest. “Then he returned to the disciples and found them asleep. He said to Peter, “Couldn’t you watch with me even one hour? Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!” Then Jesus left them a second time and prayed, “My Father! If this cup cannot be taken away unless I drink it, your will be done.”” (Matthew 26:40–42, NLT)

Jesus knew what he had to do and he knew he couldn’t do it alone. “For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!” Jesus said. Everyone of us has been where Jesus was that night, some of us are there right now. And this morning I am telling you your FATHER in heaven is here for you! I am here to tell you, you need not struggle alone.

Believe in presence of the GOD and in the strength of his GRACE!
    GRACE and PEACE,
    Gary
