Sooo... I recently purchased Blazblue: Calamity Trigger for the 360 (it was the collector's edition, so it was for the AWESOME soundtrack). In other words, I'll be getting a 360 when I can.
Is there anything I should be aware of, such as certain accessories to purchase/stay away from and technological issues to be aware of?"If tonight is Cher night in TWeb chat, then I must have been wrong and there is a hell afterall"-XMansMommy

Re: The Tweb Xbox 360 Club
Are you getting Xbox Live?
I suggest the charge and play kit, I think it's called. It lets you charge the controller by plugging it in like you would a wired controller and you can play as it does it. It's about $14, but it's well worth it.
I'm sure you know about the Red Ring of Death on the 360. My friend suggested vacuuming the 360 out as best you can (do NOT take it apart, just vaccuum around it) to get out the dust, etc. Not ssure how much it does, but it probably helps.
While I'm posting on here, March 17th sees the Xbox Live Arcade version of Perfect Dark: a Nintendo 64 shooter and spiritual sucessor to Goldeneye. My friends I grew up with are all getting it and at $10 and only 200mbs on the hard-drive, it's a steal!"The road goes ever on and on, down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the road has gone and I must follow if I can. Pursuing it with eager feet until it joins some larger way, where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say." - Tolkien

Re: The Tweb Xbox 360 Club
I've been playing lots of Modern Warfare 2 online, but Xbox live is telling there is "a problem with" my "credit card" whenI have been using my Visa Electron debit card to pay for my monthly subscription for almost a year with no hassle up until now.
Still, I have almost fully upgraded the L86 LSW and have all the achievements. I managed to do the two player spec ops by myself using two controllers... on Veteran.
I also have the DLC for Resident Evil 5, Lost in Nightmares, Desperate Escape and Versus Mode. I swear I got all of the 18 score stars on my last play through of Lost in Nightmares, but for some reason I didn't the get achievment. Time to go through it again.Crab Battle

New additions: Bioshock 2 and Aliens Vs Predator. There's a separate thread for Bioshock, so I won't repeat myself, but on the AVP front. it's a bit "meh". I'll probably dispatch it via Amazon again.

Re: The Tweb Xbox 360 Club
The RROD was an issue caused by combination of the type of solder used to attach the CPU and GPU on to the motherboard and an insufficient cooling problem. The system wouldn't dissipate enough heat and the solder joints would crack.
The newer units (and supposedly the refurbs) have an additional heat sink and some additional epoxy to keep the CPU and GPU in place when it does get hot. Plus, I think they changed CPU vendors too in order to develop a chip that wouldn't radiate so much heat.
So if he bought his 360 in the last year or two, he should be fine.In the grave they chose to make their beds

You should get Call of Duty: World at War, just for the sole purpose of playing Nazi Zombies.

I recently purchased a Second-Hand copy of Fable 2 at EB Games for $20 (including the additional Warranty). I've been having fun with it so far.

Re: The Tweb Xbox 360 Club
I relented and re-bought Fallout 3. It is an astonishing game. All the free roaming suits me to a T, thoug the ability to explore in the cities is not as open because of the reliance on subways.
The question of course is whether to buy New Vegas on the PC or the XBOX...

Re: The Tweb Xbox 360 Club
You thinking of getting Fable 3 at some point? I'm going to get it Day 1 which is, I believe, October 26th this year. The co-op is finally improved over 2 and so that alone is worth the purchase.
I know you don't have LIVE yet, but one day if you do, and if you have any games I have, we will need to join up. =)"The road goes ever on and on, down from the door where it began. Re: The Tweb Xbox 360 Club
I swear there is a mass conspiracy preventing me from getting a tactical nuke on modern warfare 2. Every time I come close, by some fluke something out of nowhere stops me, whether it be someone killing me despite the fact I am emptying hundreds of 7.62mm rounds into them, or their not knowing where I am yet killing me anyway, or the connection suddenly failing, or the game lagging right before I am about to kill someone and so I die, or the game ending because the score limit has been reached. FAIL.

Re: The Tweb Xbox 360 Club
1 Corinthians 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
"I recall your earliest lessons. You fell from one thousand feet during the walk of death, which, alone, was odd enough at your age, but you made short work of the walk of maiming and the walk of intense discomfort and tore your head clean off. I comforted you, well, your head, saying that you could just walk if off, because, you know, the cut was clean and then you would punch a mountain. In space!" -Master Li, Jade Empire
