Re: TWeb audio promos
That's gotta be an American jingle, I've never heard of it. The only spam song I know of is the Monty Python Spam song.
Do you have a link to that commercial? It sounds like a funny idea.
The Bob Seger idea is kinda cool.... but I'm not really keen on singing. And Gharfish, that song got a new lease of life back in 2001 (I think) when Metallica covered it."Personally though, I won't use psychoactives because of the possibility of contacting a demon." - Kelp

Re: TWeb audio promos
Thanks. I was raised on oldies. My parents played all sorts of stuff from the 50s through the 70s. Dire Straits, Moody Blues, Don Maclean, Jethro Tull, Beatles, Elvis, Zepplin, Hughie Lewis, Creedence, Petula Clark, ELO, pretty much you name it.
To this day, my taste is mostly older stuff....the compass of existence held more than my text-books had revealed, more than I had ever dreamed of. In short I lost my superiority, and this, though I was not then aware of it, is the first step towards finding God.-A.J. Cronin
the burn notice commercial worked beautifully, the actual vid just froze. well played google-yxboom

Re: TWeb audio promos
I'm still looking for it. Try and see if you can play the one here. It won't play on my laptop. I don't think it's what I'm thinking of, but it might work even better. It's three-quarters of the way down the page.
I'll keep looking for the one I'm thinkin of.
I think we should try to get Trout to do the Seager singing....the compass of existence held more than my text-books had revealed, more than I had ever dreamed of. In short I lost my superiority, and this, though I was not then aware of it, is the first step towards finding God.-A.J. Cronin

Re: TWeb audio promos
In my opinion, the single most telling piece of evidence that shows how poorly we're manifesting our call to care for animals is the recent creation of factory farms. Over the last century we have, to a large degree, reduced farm animals to commercialized commodities whose only value is found in how efficiently we can produce and slaughter them for profit. Consequently, more than 26 billion animals each year are forced to live in miserable, overcrowded warehouses, where there is absolutely nothing natural about their existence and where they are subjected to barbaric, painful, industrial procedures.
This is a far cry from what God meant when he told us to exercise "dominion." (Pastor Greg Boyd.)

That's good raising ! My parents were youths in the late fifties, so naturally they carried a love of that (whole) decade's music with them to me. The music of the sixties they more or less rejected. That put a hole in what I heard growing up. The seventies came through loud and clear though. The late 70s and early eighties were to me what the golden age of rock and roll, w/doo wop too, was for them.
You must have sharp senses, so you are in a power position to work with Jack--make a formidable music & lyrics team here. Excellence is sure to follow.

Thanks, Ghar.
Well, Jack, I can't find it for the life of me by google. I asked about it on an about.com forum and if that doesn't work, I'm gonna find a specific Old Time Radio forum and ask there.
Sorry, this might take a while

Theologyweb.com - where it took over 20 posts in a lame thread just to come up with this slogan.
