We weren't allowed to play Sardines though. The rumor was that it was banned in the denomination because some kid got pregnant playing in another state.
"I am not angered that the Moral Majority boys campaign against abortion. I am angry when the same men who say, "Save OUR children" bellow "Build more and bigger bombers." That's right! Blast the children in other nations into eternity, or limbless misery as they lay crippled from "OUR" bombers! This does not jell." - Leonard Ravenhill

We weren't allowed to play with "playing cards".

I only ever did one lock-in back when I attended a Baptist youth group. It was fun.

But our youth leaders at my church now toyed with the idea and decided that too many kids would try use it as an opportunity to get involved in other extracurricular activities.

Yeah, it has to be well thought out, and the venue needs to be carefully considered. And plenty of "sponsors".

In middle school, my youth group had an up all night event where we went to different places like laser tag and the swimming poll all night long. I don't think I'd want to do that trick again. Except I've done that for papers when I was still in school. We also had a persecuted Christian variant of hide and seek.
If it weren't for the Resurrection of Jesus, we'd all be in DEEP TROUBLE!

                And a lot of chaperones

...... are you sure it wasn't an AA meeting you went to?

That's how they got him to spend the night in the drunk tank. "It's a lock-in."
                      I'm not here anymore.
