They took my Firefox away...
Well work has done it. We are onto IE7 only now. I have told them they need to get ma a new monitor now if we have to use IE7. When I enlarge the fonts so I can see them it spreads the whole screen out. I hate it. But what ya gonna do... it's work...

Re: They took my Firefox away...
you work from home AND they monitor your work?
[hums "the KKK took my baby away"]]
Edit: oh wait, I just read further up you work in a call center. I'm confused. I'm assuming you're saying if you could quit your job you'd work from home..?

Re: They took my Firefox away...
I work from home as a remote rep doing customer service. I used to be a supervisor in the call center but due to health reasons I took the remote job. We have quality control that monitors our calls and screens to make sure we are "providing the leading customer service for our industry". It only gets worse as the years go by. We might stumble in our words or get lazy of with what we are saying and that seems to scare the company to death... That and they do it to monitor how much you are doing in our world of doing more with less. Lord knows taking a few minutes after a call might mean a customer would have to wait... Yes I like the idea of not letting a customer be on hold for a long period of time but come on... a breather won't kill anyone. and neither will having Firefox...

Geez, you would think they'd see benefit of having a secure web browser...

Re: They took my Firefox away...
they are convinced all things windows and IE are of the "secure therefore good" and anything outside of that is evil.

Re: They took my Firefox away...
At least IE7 stole tabs from Firefox. Though, they do appear in a funny order.

Re: They took my Firefox away...
yeah I never did figure out how the order works. If it is on our intra-net they seem to pop up next to each other in the tabs and reg. internet can be the last one unless the moon is full then look at the second to last one for an answer but it could be the pop-up it didn't block so keep searching...
