good movies to go "Mystery Science Theater 3000" on.
Ok, we all know there are plenty of dumb movies out there. However, what can be quite entertaining is the concept of "Mystery Science Theater 3000" where a group of friends get together, watch a dumb movie, and then make fun of it out loud while watching it. What are some good movies for this?
One of the best experiences I've had was doing this with Mel Gibson's "Signs."

Honestly there are so many bad movies put out each year, there is a practically endless supply. Anything by Uwe Boll would probably work well.
I'd also recommend heading over to rifftrax and trying it out, I haven't done so myself yet but hear they are great (it's the last crew from MST3K riffing hollywood movies). No sound ought to be heard in the church but the healing voice of Christian charity. -Edmund Burke

The Da Vinci Code of course.
Rayado and I have been dealing with Mormons lately and seen a couple of their "films." Great MST3K movie. I think of the crucifixion scene with a shot of the Earth and space above to which I said "Meanwhile on Kolob." and Mary looking into the empty tomb and putting her hand on her chest at which we both said "Burning in the bosom!"

Star Wars: The Prequel Trilogy...namely Episode 2. Am willing do a MST3k on that movie with anyone who wants to.

Honestly, my friends and I have discovered that even really good movies can be good to go Mystery Science 3000 on. In fact, good movies often make this process hilarious.

Re: good movies to go "Mystery Science Theater 3000" on.
I find it can be done with just about any movie. In fact I often find myself doing so when I'm watching them at home.
One of my most memorable bits was when watching Return of the King. When Aragon is standing in front of the Black Gate one of my friends shouted "Hey we got a pizza delievery for a Mr. Sauron." I cried laughing so hard.
EDIT TO ADD: Also its fun to make fun of actors for other things they've done. To use LOTR as an example again, its great fun to make fun of the fact that the guy who played Elrod was also Agent Smith in the Matrix("Welcome to Rivendale...Mr. Anderson")Last edited by Sir-Think-A-Lot; May 28th 2008 at 04:46 AM.

Anything directed by Roland Emmerich or produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, specifically anything directed by Michael Bay like "The Rock", "Armageddon", or "Pearl Harbor".
