Re: Batcave Redemption Radio - Old-School Dark Alternative Internet Radio
Ah, yes, Germany.... The Gothic, Industrial, and Electronic capital of the world, and the source of some 2/3 of my listeners. All the genres I listen to available straight off the shelf, even the Sony Center in Berlin is designed with a cyberpunk aesthetic. I shall have to go there someday for a vacation. With latent memories of the the standoff between East and West Germany (still unresolved to some extent), it doesn't surprise me that the ominous latent Cold War images and atmospheres in Mentallo & The Fixer's music would appeal to Germans. For such a secularized country starting to experience en-masse the sense of aesthetic burnout and futility in the material world described in the first section of Kierkegaard's Either/Or, let's hope they get the message of God's cosmic redemption too! Watching the bleating despair I'm seeing in the media coming out Europe makes me feel very sad, and I hope to God that my broadcast is making a difference there. I'm afraid that Blacklight Records folded before my discovery of this music, so I've never heard any of Blackhouse's music. From what I can gather, though, they seem to turn Ministry on their head to make extensive use of religious imagery for the purposes of relentless social satire.

Re: Batcave Redemption Radio - Old-School Dark Alternative Internet Radio
Blackhouse is mostly experimental noise and was created as an answer the the nihilistic noise band Whitehouse. Germany's electronic music scene is pretty good, but I expect that thanks to a lineage that points back to bands like Kraftwerk, Einstürzende Neubauten, and Xmal Deutschland.
There is a (very) small Christian scene there that's also into goth, industrial and experimental music...
heck, I caught Savior Machine out there so there is a scene.
Looking through your list I see a ton of albums I own that I almost never listen to anymore. In fact, I have dozens and dozens of mostly industrial(ish) type christian albums, one-offs and what-nots that I need to gather up and sell.

Some Scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe.
I dispute that.
I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.
