Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2016: Year of the Blessing
    Jehovah Shalom, God our PEACE…

    Shalom!

“God, You ARE our PEACE!” However, You ARE not at end to all our conflicts. For the biggest share of my life I have been afraid of the dark. I remember many years ago while working the afternoon shift of getting out of my car on a moonless night and suddenly gripped by fear took off running for our front door and the safety of a lighted room. I never had a problem as long as there was light, it was only in the dark did my fear settle in. The point I want to make, the only difference between my surroundings was light. So long as there was light I was not afraid. While I am unable to pinpoint the exact point when I found myself no longer afraid of the dark it corresponded directly with my increasing trust in God.

Jehovah Shalom, You ARE our PEACE, You ARE the LIGHT in our darkness!

One of the last things I do before going to bed is to wash up any dishes I’ve used for my evening snacks. Last night as I stood at the sink drying the few dishes I’d used I found myself marveling at the sense of peace that had settled in and over me since many times throughout the day I was anything but at peace. At one point yesterday after performing an easy task I found myself gasping for breath I made the comment to Patti about my inability to do simple things without running short of breath, “I know,” she said. And God said, “I know,” as well because as I stood at the sink pulmonary fibrosis no longer mattered the only thing that mattered was the fact of God’s presence in my dna (daily normal activities).

This morning when I read “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” (Psalm 56:8, NLT) God reassured me of the depth of His intimacy with us. And while the details of His intimacy remain much of a mystery the Holy Spirit reassures us His of presence throughout our dna.

Jehovah Shalom, You ARE our PEACE, You ARE the LIGHT in our darkness!

Believe in presence of the GOD and in the strength of his GRACE!
    GRACE and PEACE,
    Gary
