So far this guy sounds more like a wack job, than being religiously inspired. A disgruntled poop head...

A cousin of his estranged wife (not exactly an unbiased source) claims that Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel regularly drank alcohol, ate pork and rarely if ever went to a mosque or prayed.

Of course some of the 9/11 terrorists were known to drink and party at nightclubs. And IIRC there have been a few who were like this before becoming radicalized and became terrorists as a way to atone for their past behavior.

Apparently he was fired from his job as a delivery driver recently for falling asleep at the wheel, causing an accident and seemed to be depressed (no surprise there).

Then again, according to the Nice-Matin newspaper, Bouhlel was reported as shouting "Allahu Akbar" right before being shot dead by police
