Re: Uncaused cause vs. Infinite regression.

Well first off I won't bother with 3 since I don't believe this has ever or will ever happen. As for 1 or 2 don't forget its only been in the last century that modern science has finally accepted what Christians have always been saying, "universe has a beginning". I will completely admit that if the universe had no beginning Christianity is dead. But whatever caused the universe cannot itself have a cause its just not possible. Remember whatever caused the universe must have existed or still exists outside of time. (Its possible that whatever caused time may have joined it which is why I said it at least once existed outside of time).
If something exists outside of time how can it have a beginning? This is why people struggled so strongly over the universe or time having a beggining despite Christians like Augustine stating that's exactly what happened. Because it would mean that anything that caused time and space must have existed outside of time which means whatever caused time couldn't have a cause since it wouldn't have a beggining.
These views represent old views of the nature of infinity and cosmology. First, the nature of our existence, including our universe need not have a beginning nor a cause other than a natural cause in what may be called the Infinite Matrix (IM). If the infinite nature of the IM in space and time makes the ancient view of the Christian God obsolete than so be it. It would not have any effect on the existence of the 'Source' some call God.
It is unwise to place your belief in the hands of human logic trying to justify a human view of God. People will struggle over their own weaknesses of understanding what cannot be understood. Biblically God is not outside of time.
