Is there any evidence for the claim that he helped Nazis flee Germany? How about for the claim that he helped Jews flee the Holocaust?
What's your assessment? Does he deserve to be called "Hitler's Pope"?...the compass of existence held more than my text-books had revealed, more than I had ever dreamed of. It was no evil conspiracy or anything, but he didn't do nearly enough to stop the Holocaust- but then again, neither did the rest of American or European Christianity either, so it's unfair to single out the Pope for special blame when everybody else totally missed the boat as well.
