No, that's not true. I was not getting 'my butt whipped.'

You were. You don't win without proof of your accusations.

Almost all my points I gave in that debate are given in the Bently post.

I only received this e-mail from BCN the18th, yesterday.

The fact that my statements are echoed in His open letter is a Holy Spirit given confirmation.

Which you didn't show at all, short of MSNBC comments that display the same sort of sycophantic mewling you show whenever you open your mouth about Lakeland.

That, and you misused Scripture, which you have yet to answer me about.

I answered you. You won't accept the answer. I did not 'misuse' Matthew 7:1.

Look. I've got work to do. I'll get back with you all later. Be nice, please.

You quoted it as "Judge not!" If that's not misuse, then the word "misuse" ceases to have any meaning!

"Judge not" is the command. And "lest you be judged" is the consequence of judging.

You took it out of context, and you completely ignore:

      1 Corinthians 5:12
What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?

Are you ready? Jesus said, "Be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do do not expect." Matthew 24:44

This thread is about we, the Church, doing what Jesus gave us to do so that when he comes, he will find us doing so. "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season. Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing." Matt. 24:45-46

Two verses later, Jesus, speaking of evil, unfaithfilled, unwise servants saying in their hearts, 'My master is delaying his coming.'

Why was the Master's coming delayed? Or why does it seem so?

You can't give food you don't have. In John 4, Jesus disciples had gone into a city of Samaria to buy food. When they returned, they were surprised to see Jesus talking with a Samaritan woman. This is not something they could have imagined, much less expected. When his disciples urged him to eat, he said to them, "I have food to eat of which you do not know." John 4:32.

Later, they were to know this food, spiritual food. We tend to think of the word of God as spiritual food, the Bread of Life, the manna that came down from heaven. But it is not the only spiritual food. In Matt. 15:26 Jesus spoke of healing as the "children's bread."

The concept of being ready, and giving food to Jesus' household is carried over from Matthew 24 to chapter 25, it is all the same dialog begun in 24:4. In chapter 25:1-13 there were ten virgins waiting for the bridegroom. "Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their lamps."

Oil is symbolic of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Having not enough oil in your lamps, such that the lamps are going out, verse 8, is indicative of not being ready. There is a deposit of the Holy Spirit in each believer. The wise virgins who had oil could have given oil to those whose lamps were going out, but then they might not have enough. The foolish virgins had not 'paid the price' to be ready. The oil, the anointing of the Holy Spirit is transferable, because the unwise could have bought more before it was too late.

They were confident that they had enough light. They were satisfied with the light that they had. They were satisfied with the deposit of the Holy Spirit, but didn't value being full of the Holy Spirit's anointing.

They had no oil, no spiritual food to give to the master's household. They were not ready for the Lord's coming. They were not ready. The anointed food we need to give to the world is not only the word, but it is the power of full anointing.

And having it will enable an undelayed return of our Lord.

      Peace be with you.

Wrong. Let's look at the whole context, shall we?

      Emphasis mine.

It's not a blanket "don't judge." It's a command to not judge if you're guilty of the same thing you're condemning.

      So don't condemn.

I have written to you to not keep company with anyone named a brother, who is a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner. Do not even eat with such a person. 1st Cor. 5:11

Why was the Master's coming delayed? Or why does it seem so?
Is that how you read the bible? Jumping around trying to find verses that fit what you believe?

The part about the master delaying is a parable that teaches people to always be ready for Christ to come back. It has nothing to do with food. It mentions nothing about WHY the master delayed.

To find out why God is taking so long you have to look elsewhere:

      2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
He is delaying so that more can be saved.

But back in Matthew 24. How come you missed the part about the false christs and false prophets?

4Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.

11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.

23At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. 24For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. 25See, I have told you ahead of time.
26"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it.
So, did you know that Benny Hinn was actually claiming that Jesus was appearing in the desert to the muslims? Is that not exactly what Jesus said that false prophets would claim?

"Ladies and gentleman, Jesus is shaking the world! Now something else is happening that is to me awesome! Absolutely awesome! The Lord is physically appearing in the Muslim world. I'm telling you, Paul, I am hearing it now more and more and more. Since we preachers cannot go there, Jesus is - just going there Himself. Since we preachers are not permitted to go in, He is just showing up - Himself.

Here is a video of it if you don't believe me:
      http://biblelight.info/BennyHinn-1_comp.wmv

So are you willing to admit that Benny Hinn is a false prophet?

My my, the self-contradictions just keep on coming. You say that, then turn right around and quote this:

I have written to you to not keep company with anyone named a brother, who is a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner. Do not even eat with such a person. 1st Cor. 5:11
Sounds a lot like a condemnation to me. And this:

Therefore "put away from yourselves that wicked person." 1st Cor. 5:13b
Is that Paul? Condeming that person?

      So it is.

I meant this post as a reply to Sparko.

You are off topic. Do not attack brothers in Christ you disagree with.
I have asked you, and others to not bring accusations to this thread.
If you have problems with a church, don't go there, and post your so-called 'warnings' elswhere.

Being ready has to do with having enough oil in your lamps, being wise. Oil and flame are analogous to anointing.

There are issues here of anointing, the power of the Holy Spirit. The lack thereof in some cases fails to bring people to repentance, to address your reference to Peter.

      2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

The Lord is patient with the church's slowness in bringing everyone to repentance.

Oh please stop dodging. You brought up Matthew 24. Deal with it.

Is Benny Hinn a mature christian or a false prophet? The video evidence is right there for you to view.

      answer me.
