If I were at a bible study and you started screaming at me that I was a demon, I would probably jump back and scramble to my car as fast as possible too, Ty.

The guy told me he was the * 'Dark Angel' and that his palm burned when he put it on a Bible.

      * (This was in 1994, before the movie or TV show used that name.)

The one exception I take to the OP is to the presupposition inherent in the term "in these last days".

If the rest of the OP is true, then in all likelihood many, many more generations will yet come and go before the Body of Christ attains the goal set forth in Ephesians 4:13.

Its a weekly that ran Wednesday the 11th.

On their website it is linked to by a rectangular 'bullet' a little right of center, down a short distance from the top.

The local print edition had the article starting in the left column of page one, continued on A-3.

Hey Dee Dee, here is the article: http://www.theorangecountynews.com/n..._page/003.html

I don't know what presupposition you suppose, a priori.

I know the term is lifted from Hebrews 1:2, and could be thought by some to be only an indicator 'near' in time to the writer. It is not uncommon that the term is used for the current days we live in (and this is a supposition I know), in the way people mean "the time of the end."

The "time of the end" is lifted from Daniel 12:4. Of course, many assume we are living in the time of the end, and I don't see that as an error. I probably would disagree with their suppositions concerning what is to happen next. That is because in many scenarios there is not much role for the Church to play in the meantime. 'Just get as many saved as you can' is the main idea most Christians have about these uh, end times.

If that is all they plan on doing, then it will likely be longer than it need be to attain Eph. 4:13
My point is that we should be more focused on attaining that goal, and the reason is not only that we need to come into that maturity, but that there are other things as well that we ought to be growing up in, such as correct knowledge of the word of God. This, and the unity of the faith can and will come about with a more Spirit-filled, Spirit taught understanding of living by faith.

When we get there, it won't take long to get the Church's mission accomplished.

I never said this thread would not reference the Lakeland issue. I said it would be about the substance of the Holy Spirit's work in the time of the end there, and in much of the body of Christ.

I wanted to focus on the positive going forward but without the bickering of the other thread. I started this thread to leave that behind.
