So now Virginia Senator Tim Kaine is Hillary Clinton's pick for running mate.

He looks like a solid choice, and I like the fact that he's a more moderate type. Naturally, liberals won't be thrilled with the pick, since he seems to be a friend of free trade and corporations.

Although he supports Roe, Kaine does not want Medicaid patients using federal funds to pay for their abortions and supports requiring parental consent for underage mothers seeking abortions.

Pretty much but it might be the final straw for some of those in the Sanders/Warren wing of the party so that they sit home is disgust.

I could certainly see myself voting for Kaine. I'm not so wild about Pence, because he's a bit too conservative for my tastes, but at least he would be a better choice than Trump.

While he seemed upset the other day about the DNC's anti-Hyde Amendment plank, the guy does have a 100% approval rating from Planned Parenthood.

Either way, I think it was a smart pick not to go with Sanders, who does not need to be a heartbeat from the presidency.
