Report: Climate change threatens security
So much for the argument that global warming would be a good thing...Report: Climate change threatens security
Global warming may increase illegal immigration, terrorism
updated 2:45 p.m. CT, Wed., June. 25, 2008
WASHINGTON - Global warming is likely to increase illegal immigration, create humanitarian disasters and destabilize precarious governments and could add to terrorism, all of which could threaten U.S. national security, according to an assessment by U.S. intelligence agencies.
"Logic suggests the conditions exacerbated (by climate change) would increase the pool of potential recruits for terrorism," said Tom Fingar, deputy director of national intelligence for analysis, who testified before a joint House committee hearing Wednesday.

You call yourself cynical. I'm cynical or, rather, skeptical about pronouncements from government organs, especially those that look like scare agitprop.

I am worried about Alaska. On the other hand this seems to be an especially cool summer - and it came late too.

meh. i'd be more worried about socialism and totalitarianism destablizing regions prone to terrorism and emigration than global warming.
i'd be even more worried about creep socialism in the US as represented by Obama and those more liberal than even him.Living so free is a tragedy
